FFA2020 Day 2 Highlights: Four Legs Good, Two Legs Bad?
Thank you for joining us for Day 2 of Future Food Asia. If you missed any of the panels or start-up pitches they are now available for replay on our platform. Here are the highlights of Day 3:
Our second day began with a discussion on the two agricultural powerhouse – India and China – and how COVID has accelerated trends in agri-innovation, featuring Xinyi Lim, Mark Kahn and Beverley Postma
“I have worked in this agri industry for the last 13 years and I think I have seen more change in the sector in the last 13 months” – Mark Kahn
Followed by an insightful discussion on the Elephant in the Room – animal health in China, joined by Wanmeng Li, Ian Lahiffe and Echo Bao.
“The biggest opportunity will be in technology …. the more technology and digitization we can bring into the animal industry the better, because it will improve efficiency and also enables a connection between food and its consumers.” – Ian Lahiffe
And we ended the day with a discussion on corporate governance, with Adrian Percy, Denis Lucquin and Kathryn Sheridan on why start-ups in the agrifood industry should look to make more efficient board of directors, and how they can go about doing it.
“A good entrepreneur is one capable of knowing what they don’t know” – Denis Lucquin
