Alternative Meat Protein Dinner Hosted by A*STAR Singapore

On 5th Dec 2017 A*STAR Chairman Mr. Lim Chuan Poh hosted a Meat Alternative Protein tasting dinner, prepared by Chef Randy Chow from Tête-à-Tête Café Singapore. Along with Chef Triston Fang and Lotus Restaurant they developed a menu using innovations such as Quorn mycoprotein from Monde Nissin, Pea protein from Roquette Frères, Veego from Life3Biotech and Texturized vegetable proteins from Wilmar International.

As meat alternatives continue to gain traction and global demand of protein steadily rises, the culinary science of fusing the new ingredients into dishes that are palatable to Asian consumers is also developing.
